Shine Learning Center started in the
Rio Grande Valley in 2009.
We tailor our courses to meet the exact needs of our clients and are not constrained by superfluous franchise requirements.
Every day, we inspire individuals to pursue their dreams through success in mathematics, sciences, and the arts.
Our tutors develop a curriculum that is specific to your child’s needs; they do not follow a generic course outline.
Our teacher-to-student ratio is 1 to 3, with three being the maximum number of students we tutor at one time.
Shine Learning Center’s growth is based on our reputation and the wonderful success stories achieved every day.
Intense training for standardized tests, contributing to earning college degrees or high-school diplomas within a 1 or 2-month window.
Excellent one-on-one tutoring for students needing homework help, grade-level remediation, or math enrichment.
Personalized support in building confidence and fostering academic growth for lifelong success.
Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Shine Learning Center tutor clients range from Kindergarten to College.
Shine Learning Center prepares students to take the SAT, SAT Subject Test, ACT, GRE, GMAT, GED, and we provide tutoring for Advanced Placement tests.
Large, national franchises offer wonderful services that are scalable. That means their systems are designed to meet the needs of students across a broad spectrum, similar to how a classroom curriculum is created.
At Shine Learning Center, we prioritize personalized services over the one-size-fits-all approach of large franchises.
Our tutors create customized curricula specifically tailored to your child's needs, without being limited by franchise constraints.
We maintain a low teacher-to-student ratio of 1:3, ensuring individualized attention for each student. Our success and growth are driven by our reputation and the achievements of our students daily.
We do require clients to sign up for a minimum of four sessions, but there is no long-term commitment required. If the client is not satisfied with their child’s progress, then please contact Shine Learning Center.
During the initial trial session, you'll have the chance to meet the tutor. While this first session is partly dedicated to building rapport with the student, our tutors also begin providing personalized one-on-one instruction from the very start.
After each session, the client has an opportunity to talk to the tutor about their child’s progress.
You will pay Shine Learning Center in advance of receiving tutoring services. You may use whatever payment method is most convenient for you. (i.e.: cash, credit card, check, and gift certificate are available.)
The answer to this question depends on how quickly you would like your child to catch up. We normally recommend a minimum of two hours a week for each student being tutored. Anything less than two hours has proven to be ineffective as consistency and student focus is difficult to establish. If a student is a full grade level behind, we recommend 3 to 4 hours of tutoring a week.
